Hi, my name is Freya. I am a Swedish Irish artist, currently based in Ireland. My love and interest in nature, biology, and all things magical and mythical as well as my Irish/Scandinavian roots all strongly influence my work.
I graduated from the Limerick College of Art and Design with an honours Bachelor's degree in Animation & Motion Design. When I'm not working on my animations and studying ways to bring my little worlds to life, you'll find me illustrating, and if not illustrating then I could very well be up a mountain somewhere or on some sort of micro-adventure.
I love to explore both traditional and digital art making, be it characters, environments or curious little woodland creatures. I have a particular fondness for old animation in all its graininess, colours, textures and various imperfections. Something enjoy reintroducing into my own work.
